Building a More Resilient Pendle

Author / Contributor: NCF Media Team

We are proud to be part of Pendle Community Resilience, working alongside key partners including Pendle Borough Council, Lancashire County Council and organisations across the voluntary, community, faith and public sectors.

The partnership brings together organisations with a shared ambition: to reduce hardship and build stronger, more resilient communities. By combining local knowledge, expertise, resources and networks, we can provide more connected support and create clearer pathways for people to move forward.

For Nelson Community Foundation, this represents a significant development in our mission to end deprivation one person at a time. It enables us to connect our five-stage pathway—Support → Stabilise → Strengthen → Prosper → Contribute—with a wider network of services, opportunities and expertise across Pendle.

Rather than organisations addressing individual problems in isolation, we are helping to build a more connected community-wide system in which people can move from immediate hardship towards stability, employment, enterprise and ultimately contribution.

Through Pendle Community Resilience, we will work alongside our partners to strengthen local support, improve coordination and develop new approaches that create lasting change across Pendle.

Stronger partnerships. Stronger people. Stronger communities.
